Sunnyvale Community Players is auditioning performers(Ages 8-18) for our production of High School Musical 2

AUDITIONING: You can either sign up for an in person audition slot, or click on the link below to submit a virtual audition. If submitting a virtual audition video, use your phone or any recording device, to record a ONE minute audition video of you performing a song of your choice with a recording or a cappella.

In-person auditionees will also need to prepare a 1 minute song. You may use an accompaniment track or be prepared to sing a cappella. Please choose a song that best showcases your vocal range and acting abilities.

In Person Auditions: April 13th 6pm-9pm, April 18th 12pm-3pm

Callbacks: April 25th 12pm-4pm

Rehearsal/Performance info:

Rehearsals: June 16th or June 17th - July 19th (6 weeks, Sunday–Thursday)

• Tech: Start: 7/19/26 - End: 7/24/26

• Performances: 7/25/26- 8/2/26

Shows: Fridays 7:00pm, Sat afternoons 2:00pm and evenings at 7:00pm and Sunday afternoons 2:00pm at the Sunnyvale Theater. We MAY be double casting (double Saturdays if double casted). Each cast will alternate performances. Regular rehearsals are Sunday from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Monday-Thursday from 6:30pm-9:30pm. Some Saturdays may be required.

Tech week will start July 19th th at the Sunnyvale Theatre (550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94087). General time frames include 5:00pm - 10:30pm on Sunday (July 19th), and from 6:00pm - 10:30pm Monday - Thursday (July. 20th - 24th). These times are subject to change and notice of any changes will be provided at least a week in advance. NOTE: Rehearsal times run later during tech, and possibly the week before.

Sunnyvale Community Players is auditioning performers (ages 8+) for our upcoming production of Into the Woods.

SCP is a non-equity community theater made up of volunteer performers.

Please note: While some roles may be cast with performers under 18, this is primarily an adult production and most roles will be cast with performers 18+.

All adult performers cast will be eligible for a $150 travel reimbursement.

AUDITIONING

• One 32 bar cut of a Stephen Sondheim song
• A children’s story, no longer than 90 seconds

Be creative and have fun. There is no single correct approach.
